ZBrush 2020: New Features for Digital Sculpting & 3D Printing

ZBrush 2020 released

Pixologic has released ZBrush 2020! This update brings a host of exciting new features for digital sculptors.

Key highlights include the ability to sculpt and paint in Morph UV, providing enhanced control and flexibility. There are also 3 new XTractor brushes, allowing you to convert model detail to an alpha, and a new history paintbrush for efficient workflow. Furthermore, the update introduces the capability to apply details directly in line with the cursor, along with adjust by color tools, offering a more refined sculpting experience.

The update also includes features to aid 3D printing. Display modes now visually represent wall thickness, and real-time draft analyses prepare models for various manufacturing processes. The ability to calculate surface areas and volume is also included.

A new CamView feature helps you understand the orientation of your sculpt in relation to the world axis. A live silhouette view allows you to evaluate the shape of the model as you sculpt.
