UnPlug Tools has released TopoWrap for Maya, a new procedural topology transfer tool. This tool is designed to help you create, wrap, and project detailed template ReTopo models and textures accurately and precisely from high-resolution raw scan model data. Key features include:
- Baking of high-resolution textures to your retopologized model from raw scan models.
- Full control over projection mapping, smoothing, and related parameters.
- Ability to create matching topology marker points to lay out basic topological guides for the tool.
- Precise control over the distribution and editing of marker points.
- Options to mirror, append, or delete marker points.
- Exclusion of local areas and regions from projection-snapping. This is useful for preserving volumetric mesh data parts like the inner mouth, teeth, gums, tongue, eye sockets, and nose cavities.
- A paint tool to exclude areas from projection-snapping.
- A paint relax tool for smoothing out rough surfaces.
- The capability to export and import marker data for existing marker points, allowing reuse on different models.
