Lindalë, a small two-person company that created Skatter for Sketchup, has launched a crowdfunding campaign to finance version 2 of the plugin. Skatter 2 is being rewritten from scratch and already includes new features such as clustering, randomised materials, and new distribution methods. This rewrite also promises a performance boost, an updated UI, and a new library browser.
The crowdfunding campaign aims to fund development for several exciting new features, including 3D paint masks, bitmap masks, new projection modes, custom falloff curves, volumetric scattering, LODs, Look-ats, and more.
At the time of reporting, Lindalë has achieved a significant portion of its funding goal. You can find out more about the campaign and its progress.
