rsPrvRender: Free Tool for Faster Previews in 3ds Max (VRay, Arnold…)

RenderStacks Preview Render for 3DS Max

A new tool, rsPrvRender (short for renderStacks Preview Render), has been announced by developer quasiKrysta. This script offers a simplified interface, allowing users to temporarily reduce render settings for previews without affecting the production render settings. It’s completely free for both personal and commercial use, and supports VRay / VRayGPU, Arnold, ART, Scanline, Corona, FStorm and Redshift.

The intuitive interface gives users effortless control over render engine features. Users can enable or disable options such as motion blur, DOF, atmospherics, render elements, and render effects. Users can also change the size of renders and override materials, along with many other options.

Renderer-specific parameters can also be controlled using this tool. Depending on the engine chosen, this includes the most important sampling settings available. Presets can also be saved for re-use.

rsPrvRender is part of a larger plugin that has yet to be released. Further information will be shared as it becomes available.
