Autodesk has released Maya 2023.3. This update introduces several new features and improvements:
- The Proximity Wrap tool now includes a “Transform As Deformation” option, allowing users to choose whether the driver’s transform is used for deformation or kept separate. The Driver Cluster Matrix attribute has also been updated for improved rotation and scaling preservation.
- New options have been added for left-drag behavior when working with keyframes, enhancing the animation workflow.
- Users can now customize the Hypershade work area with options to set default grid visibility, grid snapping, display modes, and swatch sizing, providing greater control over the working environment.
- The Autodesk Translation Framework has been updated to facilitate data and file transfer within projects, with support for Catia V5-6R2022 and Alias 2023 models, streamlining the integration of diverse file formats.
- Includes MaxtoA 5.4.2.7 promising a refined artist experience, with addressed issues related to Physical Materials, Volume materials, and more.
- In addition, there are numerous small fixes and improvements that contribute to a more stable and efficient user experience.
