The latest version, 2.2, of LuxCoreRenderer is now available! This release brings a host of exciting new features and enhancements to the rendering engine.

Version 2.2 introduces PhotonGI indirect light cache, offering improved lighting accuracy and efficiency. It also integrates Intel Open Image Denoiser v1.0 for cleaner, faster renders. The new version features improved Random/Sobol sampler adaptive code, optimizes material transparency, and adds a range of new textures, including Power, Less Than, Greater Than, Dot Product, Position, and Shading Normal.

Shadow catcher functionality has been simplified and now supports multiple light sources of any type, making it easier to integrate objects into your scenes. LuxCoreRender 2.2 also adds support for Disney BRDF materials, enhances Hybrid Back/Forward path-tracing support, and incorporates many other improvements that contribute to a more robust and versatile rendering experience.

BlenderLuxCore is now fully compatible with Blender 2.8x and works seamlessly with basic Cycles node setups, expanding its accessibility and ease of use! Beyond the core features mentioned, the Blender version also includes several other refinements.
