DaVinci Resolve 16 & Fusion 16: New Features & Download Info

Fusion Pro and DaVinci Resolve 16 released

Blackmagic Design has unveiled version 16 of DaVinci Resolve and Fusion.

This update brings a host of exciting new features. One of the standouts is the new Cut page, which has been designed to streamline the editing process by optimizing the user interface and simplifying the traditional editing timeline. Additionally, Resolve now incorporates the “DaVinci Neural Engine,” leveraging machine learning to introduce features like facial recognition for shot organization, upscaling footage, speed warp motion timing, and more. This is a significant release, packed with a wealth of new capabilities, including:

  • DaVinci Neural Engine for AI and deep learning features.
  • Dual timeline to edit and trim without zooming and scrolling.
  • Source tape to review all clips as if they were a single tape.
  • Trim interface to view both sides of an edit and trim.
  • Intelligent edit modes to auto sync clips and edit.
  • Timeline review playback speed based on clip length.
  • Built in tools for retime, stabilization and transform.
  • Render and upload directly to YouTube and Vimeo.
  • Direct media import via buttons.
  • Scalable interface for working on laptop screens.

Both tools are available immediately in beta. As usual, a free version is available, or you can opt for the full version at a cost of $299.
