Installation Issue on macOS
When upgrading to macOS Catalina, you may encounter an issue where Gatekeeper prevents the Houdini installer and application from running. A dialog box will appear stating that “Houdini.pkg” can’t be opened.
Possible Cause
Apple is unable to verify the software for potential malicious content.
Solution
To resolve this issue, first click OK to close the dialog box. Then, go to
System Preferences -> Security & Privacy and allow Houdini.pkg to run.
Another option is to right-click on Houdini.pkg and select Open to bypass the security warnings.
