KM-3D has announced the release of Cloth Deform, a modifier for 3ds Max that creates cloth-like wrinkles on top of any mesh deforming modifier that causes a compression or expansion of its edges. Unlike other approaches, the modifier is history-independent, deforming the mesh at its current frame based only on a rest pose.
