MxTools has released CablePlacer, a new tool for 3ds Max 2013 and above, designed to simplify cable modeling based on splines. This innovative tool offers a range of features to enhance your workflow. You can now save and load cable items to a library complete with thumbnails, effortlessly adjusting their size to fit your needs. Cable nodes can be constructed in various ways using several parameters, and you have the option to replace geometry with a cable node. Additionally, you can extract a spline from the geometry and draw shapes directly in screen space or by conforming to a surface. The plugin gives you the ability to manipulate cables by adjusting their position, rotation, scale, and twist. CablePlacer also includes several pre-set cables with UVs and materials, ready for immediate use. For more detailed information, you can visit Gumroad.
