Chaos has released Enscape 4.0, a significant update poised to redefine the user experience. This release represents a leap forward in development, built on a completely revamped foundation designed for enhanced performance and stability.
The new version comes packed with exciting features, including the NVIDIA Denoiser for capture exports, ensuring cleaner visuals. It now fully supports Rhino 8.3 or later, offers a refreshed user interface, and introduces the beta version of ray-traced artificial lights, promising a new level of realism. The update also focuses on improving reflections and global illumination for hardware ray tracing, broadening VR headset compatibility, and optimizing Revit Worksharing on Windows. Moreover, Enscape 4.0 integrates seamlessly with other Chaos products, adding new interoperability features.
A major highlight for macOS users is the availability of a multi-platform solution, bringing Mac users in line with the comprehensive features available to Windows users. Specific enhancements for macOS include adjustable assets, dynamic asset placement, a Custom Asset Library and Editor, site context integration, BIM data support, and collaborative annotation capabilities.
Expanding its already impressive resource pool, Enscape 4.0 adds 178 new animated vegetation assets and 32 unique people assets. The integration of NVIDIA’s ReLAX Denoiser elevates image quality in captures, while broadening VR support to include the Meta Quest 3 and HTC Vive Pro 2 headsets. Further refining the user experience, the update offers a streamlined user interface and tackles particular challenges in collaborative workflows, particularly for Revit users.
With the focus on enhancing the synergy within the Chaos ecosystem, Enscape 4.0 introduces the V-Ray Scene Exporter. This function empowers users to transfer vital data between Enscape and other leading design applications like V-Ray, 3ds Max, and Cinema 4D, fostering greater flexibility in design workflows.
