3DFlow has released an update for its photogrammetry software, 3DF Zephyr, and version 4.5 brings improvements to the “mesh enhancement filter” introduced in version 4.0. This feature offers a unique approach by enhancing surface appearance through details that can be visually appealing, even if they aren’t a completely accurate representation of the scanned object.
Users can now bake normal maps directly in 3DF Zephyr, supporting both object and tangent space. Furthermore, the UV packing algorithm has been enhanced for greater space efficiency. The user experience has also been refined, and there are several other minor improvements. For a comprehensive overview of all the new features, it’s recommended to consult the 3DFlow official website.
