Quixel Bridge 2019.2: Updates for USD, MDL, and Enhanced Sync

Quixel has announced the release of Bridge 1019.2, focusing on recent industry formats and workflows. This includes support for Pixar’s Universal Scene Description (USD) format and improved support for Apple’s USDZ version, a custom adaptation of Pixar’s format. Quixel states that this makes Bridge the only cross-platform USD converter currently available.

This version also enhances support for NVIDIA’s Material Definition Language (MDL), which aims to enable users to share physically based materials and lights across various applications. New integrations include Clarisse iFX with LiveLink and converters.

The Bridge Sync feature has been improved to allow users to sync the entire Megascans library or choose to sync only purchased assets on a host machine. This enables teams to access synced assets over the local network, importing them to personal machines as required.

Several minor improvements are also included. Visit the Quixel blog for more details.
