IToo Software has released an update to RailClone, a parametric modeling and layout system for 3DS Max. Version 4.1.2 introduces improvements to several key features.
The Random number node has been updated, making it easier to synchronize randomized properties between generators. Users can now control a Generator’s Offset parameter using expressions, even when the style is applied to multiple sub-splines.
Nested generators have seen significant enhancements, allowing for more precise angle interpretation between Evenly objects when using Segments with the Bend setting disabled. Additionally, a fix prevents nested Generators from producing inconsistent results based on the instancing settings.
Clipping splines also benefit from minor upgrades. The ArrayCounter and XSplineMatID attributes are now correctly updated when using Clipping arrays.
