Trimble has unveiled the newest iteration of Sketchup! The update brings a host of exciting new features, including enhanced tagging capabilities. You can now organise multiple tags into convenient tag folders and even control their visibility on a per-scene basis. Filtering tags within the Tags Panel is also a welcome addition.

Live Components have made their debut in the Warehouse, offering users parametric assets for easy editing directly within Sketchup. These components add a new level of flexibility and design possibilities.

But that’s not all! PreDesign, a brand-new architectural research tool designed specifically for Pro subscribers, lets users gain valuable climate insights based on specific geolocations. It’s worth pointing out that PreDesign is web-based, accessible directly from Sketchup’s file browser, offering a seamless integration into your workflow.

Furthermore, the update also incorporates several smaller yet crucial enhancements, such as a redesigned .SKP file format that significantly reduces file sizes. Automatic software download and update features streamline the user experience, and the introduction of two-finger Pinch-To-Zoom capabilities in LayOut on Mac adds fluidity and precision to your workflow.
